To earn ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification and EPA recognition, a lab must successfully complete extensive on-site evaluations of its test facilities, quality/management system and ability to conduct the specified tests. Earning such certification and EPA recognition confirms the lab is in compliance with the stringent quality requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and EPA and has the technical competency to proficiently conduct the tests.
