HP and Lexmark Win BLI “Picks” in Multiple Color Printer and MFP Categories

Hewlett-Packard Sweeps Five Color Printer “Pick” Categories
Taking BLI “Pick” awards for personal and inkjet devices, as well as in small and mid-size workgroup categories, five legal-size HP color printers and MFPs were chosen for their ease of use and productivity-enhancing features. “HP has always been a leader when it comes to color products and the models tested this year are no exception,” said BLI Senior Analyst for A4 MFPs and Printers Marlene Orr. “HP has brought higher-level functionality—full-color touchscreens, ePrint, Web apps and software integration—to lower-priced devices to meet the changing needs of all levels of business users.” While the HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 color MFP M575 series is built on HP OXPd architecture to integrate with an array of HP and third-party solutions that can improve productivity and streamline workflows, the LaserJet Pro 400 color MFP M475 Series, LaserJet Pro 400 color M451 Series and LaserJet Pro 300 color MFP M375nw are Web-connected, allowing users to download apps that let users access and print Web content on demand at the easy-to-use touchscreen control panel. The Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One is also Web-connected and includes a standard wireless interface.
Lexmark Wins for Business-Class Inkjets and A3 Color Laser Flagship Models
Four Lexmark color products have taken BLI “Picks” for their performance, flexibility and ease of use: winning in the large workgroup category are the Lexmark C950de printer and its MFP sister, the X950de, and in the business-class inkjet category is the OfficeEdge Pro 4000/5500 series. All of the winning devices offer excellent reliability, high tested consumables yields and are simple to use via the graphical universal print drivers and the touchscreen control panels.
“Because the C950de and X950de are built on Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF), workflow software can integrate with either device to help boost productivity and lower output costs,” said David Sweetnam, head of BLI’s European Research and Lab Services. “And strong security features and the MarkVision Enterprise fleet management tool make these devices a welcome addition to the network.”
