BLI Appoints Industry Veteran Jonathan Bees
April 13, 2010 - Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), the
premier provider of product intelligence for the imaging industry, announced
that it has hired industry veteran Jonathan Bees as its new Director of
Strategic Marketing Products. Mr. Bees brings almost 30 years of experience
working in the imaging industry as a marketing manager, industry analyst and
editor.
In the new position, Mr. Bees will help expand the
range of offerings in the Managed Print Services (MPS) and production spaces
and regularly provide content for the company’s publications and Web site. He
will also be responsible for growing BLI’s pre-launch marketing services and
consulting business, and provide custom competitive analysis.
“I’ve always had a great deal of respect for Buyers
Laboratory and I am very pleased to have been appointed Director, Strategic
Marketing Products,” said Bees. “I look forward to joining the management
team.”
Mr. Bees worked as a product manager at Konica from
1992 to 1995, and as manager of competitive intelligence from 1995 to 1997.
From 1997 to 2005 he was the Editor-In-Chief of Better Buys for Business, a
leading publisher of analysis and advice for buyers of office equipment. Mr.
Bees was the Director of InfoTrends’ Digital Peripherals Solutions (DPS)
consulting service from 2005 to 2008, and more recently was the President of
Imaging Strategies, a consulting and market research company serving the
imaging industry.
Michael Danziger, BLI’s CEO shared, “We’re excited to
add someone of Jon’s caliber to BLI. Changes in the industry are greatly
expanding our clients’ need for information on new products, like Solutions and
Production, as well as new approaches to the marketplace, like MPS and vertical
market focuses. At the same time, they are being asked to pursue these
challenges with fewer internal resources. Having Jon on board will allow us to
meet the needs of our clients in a manner that is both timely and of high
quality.”
