Océ Spans Segment 4 Business Color With Winners In Every Speed Range
Océ’s cm4521, cm5520 and cm6520, which are different-speed versions of the same engine, have won Spring 2008 “Picks” for “Outstanding Segment 4 Business Color MFP” in the 41- to 50-ppm, 51- to 60-ppm and 61- to 69-ppm speed ranges, respectively. “From multitasking to scanning, these three units are dependable MFPs for business color customers, general office use and color environments,” said Mikolay.
Reliability was admirable for all three models, and each displayed very good overall image quality and ease of use. The feature sets are also strong, as the cm4521 and cm5520 offer standard paper capacities that are among the highest for the group, as well as a saddle-stitch finisher that can create up to 80-page booklets. All three devices can also accommodate heavier paper weights than most business color models in their respective speed ranges.
“Taking into account these factors, as well as very good to excellent overall value for each device, with lower than average supplies cost per page for each model, and it’s clear why these products are ‘Picks,’” said Emory.
Tom O’Neill, director of product marketing for Océ North America’s Document Printing Systems division, said, “Receiving these ‘Pick’ awards for the cm4521, cm5520 and our flagship cm6520 office color MFPs continues a long tradition of award-winning color MFPs in the Océ product line. With network print and scan as standard functions, they have proven to be reliable, productive devices, and their high-quality output in both black and color, along with advanced security features like the optional biometric authentication unit and easy to use drivers and full-color touch-screen operator panel, really make them outstanding general office MFPs. The Fiery controller makes them versatile enough for customers who have applications that call for more color control and performance. BLI is a respected name in the industry and with these ‘Pick’ awards, Océ appreciates the acknowledgement of what we and our customers already know – that the cm4521, cm5520 and cm6520 are winners.”
