New User-Friendly Design For MFP Control Panel
For the new user interface on its recently released monochrome multifunction printers, Hewlett-Packard
has been chosen to receive an Outstanding Achievement Award. The new multifunction products feature an
easy-to-use touch-screen graphical display, which allows users to easily program functions and view help
messages; intuitive navigation buttons; and a 10-digit numeric keypad. Marlene Orr, BLI's senior printer
analyst, said "The new control panel design on HP's multifunction printers really narrows the gap between
printer-centric and copier-centric devices. This next-generation control panel has all the features and
functionality copier users would expect to find on a multifunction device."
"We are thrilled that Buyers Lab has recognized the outstanding design of the new HP Easy Select Control Panel,"
said Craig Tinder, research and development, Imaging & Printing Group, HP. "HP developed this new interface to
offer our customers an intuitive, radically simple touch-screen control panel that visually walks them through
procedures, setup and troubleshooting."
