IRVINE, CA -- August 10, 2006 -- Postal Connections of America (PCS), a leading Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA), today announced an exclusive agreement with Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS). Toshiba American Business Solutions, Inc. will supply Postal Connections of America with new multifunction document imaging equipment. The arrangement supplies PCA with three award-winning products from Toshiba, the e-STUDIO™ 281c full-color monochrome multifunction product (MFP) and the e-STUDIO202L and 282 series MFPs. Through the arrangement, TABS also will subsidize 24 to 30 PCA store grand openings nationwide in 2006, enabling customers to receive free copies for one week during the launch.
"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to supply Postal Connections of America with a solution to meet their complex document production needs," said Steve Rhorer, vice president, marketing for TABS. "We understand how critical it is for a leading-edge CMRA to ensure first-rate quality and customer service, and we're confident that the new Toshiba MFPs are an ideal solution to meet their needs."
PCA chose TABS as their exclusive equipment provider because of Toshiba's worldwide industry leadership and superior products and services that incorporate cutting edge technologies and product innovation. The new Toshiba MFPs will enable PCA to output high-quality, color-on-demand collateral and general office documents with improved graphics, productivity and reduced outsourcing costs. Customers can access the new MFPs as do-it-yourself or an attendant-assisted service at the same cost.
"Toshiba presents Postal Connections with the opportunity to stay at the leading edge of the copying and printing business with the latest technology and quality service," said Fred Morache, Postal Connections of America chief operations officer. "Toshiba's cutting edge equipment will enable our stores to expand digital document services that otherwise would not be available to our neighborhood customers."
Based in San Diego, PCA currently operates 103 franchises in 24 states. The company offers packaging and shipping through UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, couriers and freight lines, with approximately 20 percent of its revenue generated through copying.
