Kofax plc, the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, announced that AutoCont, a long-standing Kofax channel partner and a leading supplier of computer technology and services throughout the Czech Republic, has sold an enterprise document capture solution to an educational agency of the country’s government. The total value of the software, hardware and related services to Kofax is approximately $2.35 million.
The educational agency, which administers testing programs throughout the country, will deploy Kofax Capture, Kofax Transformation Modules and digital scanners to capture information from more than eight million pages of examination papers received annually from more than 1,500 high schools. The resulting images and data will be routed to a central location for processing and storage in an enterprise content management system for easy access. The Kofax solution will enable the agency to process examinations in a fast, accurate manner and create a standard, efficient system for archiving exam documents and results.
“This sale provides more proof that government agencies recognize the benefits of shifting away from laborious, paper-driven processes,” said Alan Kerr, Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Kofax. “By leveraging Kofax software and digital scanners provided via our value added distribution capabilities to provide a complete capture solution, they can streamline operations, reduce costs, and be able to better serve their constituencies.”
