IT Consulting Firm Specializing in Oil & Gas Industry Adds M-Files Document Management to Portfolio
DALLAS, TX - M-Files Inc., the developer of M-Files easy document management software and the cloud-based document management service M-Files Cloud Vault, recently announced that The Strickland Group, a Fort Worth, Texas-based IT firm with a strong client roster in the oil and gas sector, is the latest addition to its Partner Program.
As a system integrator, The Strickland Group designs and develops custom software solutions that help clients capitalize on their distinctive competencies. The firm was aware that many of its clients were experiencing challenges in effectively managing their critical information assets. As a result, The Strickland Group began actively evaluating solutions to enable its clients to easily manage their digital documentation.
The Strickland Group integrated the M-Files document management solution into its service portfolio because the company saw it as an effective and easy-to-use tool for addressing the need for many of its clients to better organize and manage their data silos.
"Many of our clients simply don’t know about, can’t locate, or spend too much time looking for their electronic documents," said Brad Nickle, vice president at The Strickland Group. "In some cases, efforts were being duplicated because our clients were simply unaware that work had already been performed. With M-Files, the personnel assets of our client organizations are managed much more effectively and efficiently."
"The breadth and configurability of the M-Files document management solution, along with its seamless integration with Windows, makes it an excellent solution for The Strickland Group's impressive roster of oil and gas clients," said Scott Erickson, vice president of channel sales at M-Files Inc. "With M-Files, The Strickland Group can help its customers meet their specific document and process management needs, while also creating an exciting new revenue stream and growth opportunity.”
M-Files Addresses Specific Document Management Needs of the Complex Oil & Gas Industry
In the petroleum industry, there are typically multi-disciplinary teams that utilize many different kinds of software tools to produce strategic analyses for exploration and production projects. To help make this process more efficient and effective, The Strickland Group also intends to integrate M-Files with several of its current software offerings to create a spatially-oriented view of oil fields, and also enable users to locate and find key data and documents associated with the management of oil and gas assets.
"Most document management systems are simply not robust enough to accommodate all the different types of documents of organizations in the petroleum sector. However, we found the M-Files architecture to be distinctly-suited to enable the effective capture of all different types of files, data structures, and documents," added Nickle.
