docSTAR Document Management Software Available Through Government Contract
Federal agencies gain simplified access to docSTAR products through GSA Schedule 70
docSTAR, a leading provider of document management software solutions, has formed a strategic alliance with HMS Technologies, Inc., an established Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that integrates technology, business partners, and clients for success in both the Federal and Commercial environments.
“We are excited about the addition of docSTAR products to our GSA Schedule 70,” said Bill Kirkpatrick, Senior Vice President of
HMS Technologies. “The streamlined abilities of this product will certainly play a vital role in the success and efficiency of software management.”
The alliance provides a conduit for Federal and State agencies to purchase
docSTAR’s document management software directly from the GSA Schedule 70 contract (GS-35F-0834R) at a discounted rate, eliminating time-consuming responses to complex RFP’s and lengthy negotiations.
“Our relationship, along with the GSA contract, supports docSTAR’s initiative to drive efficiencies in government and provide superior document management services at a competitive price,” says Jeff Frankel, docSTAR Vice President. “HMS has a long history of offering services that improve the speed, cost, accuracy and profits of its clients' businesses. We’re honored to work with them.”
docSTAR’s document management solutions for Government agencies are designed to streamline operations and reduce the costs associated with managing paper documents. docSTAR recently announced the availability of MapConnect™ version 2.0, which combines the power of the Esri ArcGIS geospatial architecture with docSTAR’s award-winning document management software. MapConnect associates documents with geospatial features in any layer or a general geographic area. Users are able to instantly geo-link and view documents in real-time. The result is significant savings of time, resources and tax dollars.
“docSTAR MapConnect delivers immediate access to time sensitive documents by leveraging a government agency’s geographic information system (GIS) investment along with docSTAR,” adds Frankel. “This can impact emergency response time as well as day to day operations inclusive of asset management.”
docSTAR features long-term document preservation, guards against theft, provides disaster protection and business continuity. Document authenticity is secured by the USPS Electronic Postmark (EPM) and compliance is supported for many regulations including the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB-34) and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
